A St. Louis woman who filed more than 20 false tax returns in a bid for $75,000 in tax refunds was sentenced Friday to five years of probation. She was also ordered to pay the IRS $75,652.

Nicole Eason, 33, pleaded guilty in April in federal court in St. Louis to two counts of making false claims for a refund. She admitted offering cash to use the Social Security numbers and names of people to file the false 2006 returns, prosecutors said.
