ST. LOUIS • A St. Louis man involved in the aftermath of the 2010 robbery of $6.6 million from ATM Solutions in St. Louis was sentenced Wednesday to 46 months in prison.
James S. Wright, 33, pleaded guilty to transporting stolen currency across lines in March and admitted he accepted thousands of dollars of the money and helped others count and hide the money.
The Aug. 2, 2010 robbery was St. Louis' largest cash robbery. Only roughly half the money has been recovered.
Wright and his sister, LaTunya Wright, flew to Texas, where roughly $600,000 of the money had been buried, and drove to Atlanta, where they hid it in a storage facility.
A tipster then led the FBI to the money.
Prosecutors say James Wright got $20,000-$30,000 here and another $20,000 in Atlanta for his help.
