A 50-year-old Fenton woman was run over and killed after falling off the back of a motorcycle near Fenton on Saturday.

St. Louis County Police are investigating the accident that happened at 8:45 p.m. on Highway 141 and Centurion Drive.

According to police, the woman, whose name police have not released, was riding on the back of a motorcycle that her husband was driving southbound in the center lane of Highway 141.

As they approached Centurion Drive, a vehicle in the right lane attempted to merge into the center lane. The motorcycle first swerved toward the left lane, which was occupied, and then swerved back, causing the bike to fish-tail and throw the woman off into the right lane, police said. The female passenger was then struck by a 2009 Buick LaCrosse.

Police said both drivers submitted to a blood test.

St. Louis County Police are investigating the accident.
