ST. ANN • Officials have charged a St. Ann teenager with secretly taking photos and videos of partially nude fellow male students at Ritenour High School — and charged his father with trying to dispose of a computer containing the images.

Dalton Heinle, 18, of the 3500 block of St. Christopher Lane, was named Monday on nine counts of invasion of privacy. Court documents say he told Breckenridge Hills police that he made the pictures from March 2010 to April 2011.

His father, Virgil Heinle, 50, was accused of tampering with evidence.

Prosecutor John Quarenghi said police were called after a student saw what was happening. Quarenghi said there were images taken at five to six places across the state, mostly involving bathrooms and boys "around his age."

Ritenour officials said they suspended Heinle after his arrest April 26. He never returned to campus but did graduate, they said. His bail was set at $45,000, his father's at $5,000.
