ST. CHARLES • Funeral arrangements have been set for St. Charles firefighter-paramedic/engineer Douglas Haase, 60, who was found dead in bed near the end of his shift at a fire station Wednesday morning.
Visitation will be Sunday, Feb. 5 from 2 to 8 pm. with a firefighter walkthrough at 7:30 p.m. at McCoy-Blossom Funeral home, 1304 Boone Street in Troy, Mo.
Funeral services will be Monday, Feb. 6 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Missouri Governor Jay Nixon ordered that state government buildings in Lincoln and St. Charles County fly their Missouri and United States flags at half-staff in Haase's honor on Monday.
Haase responded to an emergency call just before 10 p.m. Tuesday and returned to the engine house just after 10:30 p.m. He had responded to several calls during the day and had particpated in vehicle extrication training, fire officials said.
He was found in his room the next morning after he suffered "an apparent medical emergency," fire officials said. The exact cause of death has not been determined, they said.
