Missouri Governor Jay Nixon ordered that state government buildings in Lincoln and St. Charles County fly their Missouri and United States flags at half-staff in Haase's honor on Monday.

Haase responded to an emergency call just before 10 p.m. Tuesday and returned to the engine house just after 10:30 p.m.  He had responded to several calls during the day and had particpated in vehicle extrication training, fire officials said.
