ST. LOUIS  •  A gunshot victim who ran to a gas station for help has died of his injuries, police say.

Stacey Adell, 46, sought help just before 11 p.m. Monday in the 3700 block of North Grand Boulevard. He lived in the 3200 block of Natural Bridge Avenue.

Adell had been shot in the abdomen. He was taken to a hospital, where he died. Police didn't release circumstances of the shooting. They have made no arrests in the case and have no suspect information to release.

Investigators are still trying to sort out the details, such as where the shooting took place, but it appears Adell was shot in the 3200 block of Natural Bridge, said Leah K. Freeman, a department spokeswoman. That block is just east of the block on Grand Boulevard where the gas station is located.
