ST. LOUIS • Alexander V. Long, 23, pleaded guilty of charges in federal court here Monday, admitting he threatened a St. Charles County judge, his daughter, prosecutors and an employee of the sheriff's office.

Long, 23, of St. Charles County, admitted sending threats through Facebook and the mail to various people, including Prosecuting Attorney Jack Banas, prosecutor Gwendolyn Goeke and a judge.

In his plea, Long admits threatening via Facebook to rape, stab and beat the judge's daughter. Long has been found competent for trial on related state charges.

In federal court Long pleaded guilty to two federal counts of mailing threatening communications and one count of making an interstate transmission containing a threat.

At his sentencing Jan. 26, Long faces 41 to 51 months in prison under federal guidelines.
