A St. Louis County man has been charged in a fatal hit-and-run crash on Saturday.

Redmond Harris, 47, of the 9600 block of Vincennes Drive in unincorporated St. Louis County, was charged with involuntary manslaughter, leaving the scene of an accident and driving while revoked. He is being held in lieu of a $45,000 bond.

Police say Cedric Marion, 17, of St. Louis County, was struck at about 7:30 p.m. Saturday by a pickup heading west on Chambers Road just west of Green Valley Drive. He was taken to a hospital, where he died a short time later.

The pickup left the scene, but a witness got the license plate number. Authorities were able to use that information to track the truck to a home in north St. Louis County, where they found the vehicle with extensive damage.

Marion was struck less than two miles from where a woman was fatally struck by a pickup on Friday night. The driver in that crash stayed at the scene and was not expected to be charged.
