UPDATED: at 7:32 p.m. Girl found.

Officer Rick Eckhard said Ashley Hedtkamp, 11, who had been missing since Saturday, was found about 7:30 p.m. at a friend's house.

EARLIER STORY:

ST. LOUIS COUNTY • Police and family members are looking for an 11-year-old girl who disappeared Saturday afternoon.

St. Louis County Police Officer Rick Eckhard said Ashley Hedtkamp's grandmother last saw her about 2 p.m., when she left their home in the 6300 block of Ashwell Drive to run an errand.

The grandmother returned about 6 p.m. and found a note saying Ashley was going to walk to a convenience store a couple of blocks away, Eckhard said. The girl did not return.

Ashley 5-foot-4-inches tall and weighs 120 pounds. She has brown hair with blonde highlights and hazel eyes.

Eckhard said police do not have any evidence of foul play, but they consider Ashley to be an endangered person.
