ST. LOUIS • One man was killed and another injured in a crash involving a wrong-way driver on Interstate 55 near Sidney Street on Saturday morning.

The accident happened at 6:02 a.m.

Police said a four-door Lincoln driving southbound entered the northbound lanes of I-55 and collided with a Subaru.

The Lincoln caught fire and the driver, 30-year-old Damian Harris of St. Louis, was pronounced dead at the scene. The 36-year-old driver of the other car was taken to a hospital, where he was listed in serious but stable condition with leg injuries.
