ST. LOUIS • Shoppers at a St. Louis Target store got cash and free merchandise from two cashiers who are now facing a felony charge, charging documents filed Friday say.

One, Paricee Michelle Givens, 36, took money from the Hampton Avenue store's register and gave it to customers from Oct. 29 to Nov. 27, Officer Tony Abel wrote in charging documents.

Another, Katrena Michelle Wooten, 29, allowed friends to leave without paying for Target merchandise on Nov. 25, Abel wrote.

Givens and Wooten, both of St. Louis, were each charged with stealing more than $500, a class C felony.

A Target spokesman said that the company was working with law enforcement. He declined further comment.
