Especially in hard economic times, students nearing college age seek out any assistance they can to help pay for school. Fortunately, Lindenwood University offers a variety of scholarship opportunities to incoming freshmen who meet a variety of academic criteria.
At the top of the list is the $14,200 Bright Flight Scholarship, for Missouri students who score 31 or better on the ACT. When coupled with Missouri's $1,500 Bright Flight grant and a Work-and-Learn award, the scholarship covers the majority of a student's tuition, room, and board. A Presidential Scholarship for students who score 30 on the ACT is identical to the Bright Flight award, except it does not entail a grant from the state.
Other scholarships, ranging from $9,000 to $5,000, not counting a Work and Learn Award, are available to incoming freshmen with differing levels of awards qualifying academic achievement. An $8,000 Dean's Scholarship requires a 3.5 cumulative GPA and a 27 on the ACT. All awards can be coupled with a $2,400 Work and Learn Award.
