The Washington University School of Law will soon be offering an online degree program for lawyers in other countries.
The Master of Laws in U.S. Law for Foreign Lawyers targets attorneys who want to learn more about the U.S. legal system, with a focus on business issues.
The school said its @WashULaw LLM degree will have the same admission requirements as other on-campus graduate law programs, and will be identical to those received by on-campus students.
The program will use a combination of live classroom sessions (with streamed video) and self-paced work. Faculty and students will meet online for discussions, study groups and meetings with professors. The first class is expected to start in January of 2013.
