Leaders of the National Rifle Association will be in Missouri this week stumping alongside Republican Senate hopeful Roy Blunt.
The powerful gun rights organization announced that it's executive vice president, Wayne LaPierre, and chief lobbyist, Chris Cox, will fly around the state with Blunt on Friday.
They will hopscotch the state, but stay away from Missouri's two key urban areas, Kansas and St. Louis, where views on guns can vary from those outstate.
Instead, the NRA's six scheduled appearances with Blunt are set for Cape Girardeau, Columbia, St. Joseph, Joplin, Kirksville and Springfield.
Joining the tour will be Blunt's oldest son, former Gov. Matt Blunt, who has, up to this point, mostly stayed away from the campaign trail. (Matt's younger brother, Andy, though, is his dad's campaign manager.)
The NRA officials are expected to, at least, announce their endorsement for Blunt, who sports an "A" rating from the association.
Meanwhile, the NRA has kicked-off a voter registration effort spearheaded by action star Chuck Norris -- who, of course, doesn't vote so much as bend the ballot toward his will.
