A man who claimed he had four accomplices on Sunday robbed the Farm Fresh Store, 740 East Airline Drive, law enforcement officials said. The Madison County Sheriff's Department said two clerks told deputies that a man walked into the store about 9:25 p.m. and said he needed money. He said he did not have a gun, but four men outside the store did. The clerks handed the robber a small amount of money, the department said. Video surveillance of the store will help capture the suspect, the department said. A police dog from the Granite City Police Department helped track the direction the suspect fled. The Sheriff's Department requested that anyone with information about the suspect call 618-692-0871 or the anonymous tip line at 618-296-3000.
