Holiday Shores bank teller accused of theft

HOLIDAY SHORES • Madison County prosecutors have charged a bank teller with stealing more than $7,000 from the bank.

The suspect is Lori A. Surgant, 51, who was arrested Monday at her home in the 1800 block of Sextant Drive in Holiday Shores. A judge set her bail at $25,000.

Surgant was a teller at a First National Bank of Staunton branch at 7301 St. James Road in Holiday Shores and allegedly took the money between Nov. 1 and Jan. 20.
