EAST ST. LOUIS • A man died early Thursday morning after his truck overturned on Interstate 70/55/64, just east of the Poplar Street Bridge, officials said.
Alonzo B. Stuckey, 55, of East St. Louis, was driving eastbound in a Ford F-150 pickup truck about 1:45 a.m. when his truck ran off the road into the median, hit a ditch and rolled several times, according to Illinois State Police.
Stuckey was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The truck came to rest upside-down on the westbound side of the highway. No other cars were involved in the crash.
Illinois State Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
