Jamestown Mall plans • St. Louis County is developing a master plan and feasibility study for the Jamestown Mall shopping center and seeking public comments on plans to revitalize the mall site. Children's art • Artwork done by patients at Ranken Jordan Pediatric Hospital will be on display as part of a fundraiser at the hospital at 11365 Dorsett Road in Maryland Heights. The public is invited to view the art from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and again from 3 to 4 p.m. Friday. www.rankenjordan.org

State park plans • The Missouri Department of Natural Resources will host an informational meeting from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday to discuss plans for Castlewood State Park near Ballwin. The meeting will be held just east of the park office. Recent accomplishments at the park and future plans will be highlighted, and visitors are invited to ask questions. 636-277-4433

Tower Grove ceremony • The 241st anniversary of the birth of Alexander von Humboldt will be commemorated at Tower Grove Park in a ceremony at 1 p.m. Sunday. A wreath will be placed at the von Humboldt statue on the Main Drive, in the center of the historic park. This will be followed by light refreshments. A noted naturalist and explorer, Humboldt is best known for his exploration of Central and South America, the Andes and parts of present-day Peru, Ecuador, Colombia and Mexico. www.towergrovepark.org
