A woman who filed more than 20 false tax returns in a bid for $75,000 in refunds was sentenced Friday to five years on probation and ordered to pay the Internal Revenue Service $75,652.
Nicole Eason, 33, pleaded guilty in April in federal court here to two counts of making false claims for a refund.
She admitted offering cash to use the Social Security numbers and names of people to file the false 2006 returns, prosecutors said.
