COLUMBIA, Mo. -- A 19-year-old woman has been hospitalized after falling from a stairwell inside a Columbia bar.
Columbia police say the woman was in critical condition Sunday at a Columbia hospital, with fractures to her skull, neck and face.
Officer Jessie Haden said preliminary tests showed the woman's blood-alcohol content was .32 percent, or four times the legal limit for operating a motor vehicle.
Haden said the woman appears to have fallen over a railing along an internal stairwell Saturday night.
The Columbia Daily Tribune reports that it's unclear where the woman consumed the alcohol and police are investigating.
