The daughter-in-law of U.S. Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer, R-St. Elizabeth, has died in a car accident in central Missouri.
The Missouri Highway Patrol said Amy Luetkemeyer, 27, died Friday after an accident in Maries County. The patrol said Luetkemeyer's car crossed the center line and sideswiped an oncoming vehicle.
Luetkemeyer's car then went off the road, overcorrected and collided with another vehicle. The patrol said she was wearing a seat belt.
Paul Sloca, spokesman for Rep. Luetkemeyer, said Amy Luetkemeyer married the congressman's son, Trevor, in October 2009.
