Three men are in police custody in the bank robbery Tuesday at the St. Louis Community Credit Union, 3651 Forest Park Parkway.
Justin Lawrence, 19, of the 500 block of Union Boulevard, and Corey Rodgers, 33, of the 6700 block of Schofield Place in Pagedale, were arrested by St. Louis police. Lawrence was charged with first-degree robbery. Bail was set for Lawrence at $100,000, cash only.
Rodgers was charged with receiving stolen property because police found he had a cell phone that was stolen in the bank robbery. Rodgers is also being held in the homicide of Terrence Brown, 22, of the 3500 block of Wright Avenue in St. Ann. Warrants were issued for Rodgers for second-degree murder, two counts of first-degree robbery and three counts of armed criminal action. He is being held without bail.
Brown was robbed and shot in the back on June 24 and died of complications of his injuries on July 16.
The FBI captured Courtney Lewis, 21, of the 5600 block of Highland Avenue, on Thursday at a Greyhound bus station as he arrived in Los Angeles. He was charged with first-degree robbery in the bank robbery; his bail has been set at $50,000, cash only. Lewis remains in custody in California pending extradition.
