ST. LOUIS COUNTY • A mother from Ballwin has admitted to repeatedly performing sex acts with her infant daughter and an assistant college professor from California.
Tessa Vanvlerah, 22, of the 200 block of Solon Drive, has pleaded guilty in St. Louis County Circuit Court to one count each of statutory rape, statutory sodomy and incest. Sentencing is set for March 15.
Vanvlerah also faces ongoing federal charges of production of child pornography, as does the professor, Kenneth M. Kyle, 47, of San Francisco, who is already in custody on a child sex abuse charge from California.
The FBI began looking into Kyle after 100 child porn images were sent from his computer.
Authorities say he and Vanvlerah met online, and that Kyle made five trips out here between 2009 and 2010, where he and Vanvlerah sexually assaulted the child at various hotels in the Westport area. The child was five months old when it started.
The federal charges say the two also took pictures of the encounters.
In 2008, a woman obtained a court order of protection in St. Louis County against Vanvlerah, accusing her of seducing and having sex with the woman's 16-year-old autistic son. Vanvlerah was accused of boasting online about becoming pregnant from the union.
