Here's how bar owners can obtain information about exemptions from smoking bans in St. Louis and St. Louis County and where the public can get information about the bans:
St. Louis — Applications for exemptions may be picked up at the Department of Health,1520 Market Street, Room 4051, or at http://stlouis.missouri.org/citygov/health/. Brochures with frequently asked questions also are available there. General information about the ban will become available Friday. People can obtain it then by calling the Citizens Service Bureau at 314-622-4800 or at twitter@stlcsb. Information will be posted soon on the health department website.
St. Louis County — Information is available on the Revenue department's page at http://revenue.stlouisco.com/Licensing/SmokingExemption.aspx. Applications for exemptions are available via that page or at the licensing office on 4th floor of the County Administration Building, 41 South Central Avenue, Clayton. People with further questions about the smoking ban may call the health department at 314-615-8900. The public also can find information on the ban by going to the website of the county health department, /www.stlouisco.com/doh/, and clicking on the Indoor Clean Air Code link under the Popular Pages heading.
