JOPLIN, MO. • Some Joplin residents say the school district's request for a $62 million bond issue this spring has raised questions about millions of dollars in donations received after five schools were destroyed and several others damaged in last May's devastating tornado.

Superintendent C.J. Huff says that while the district appreciates all the donations it has received, there is not nearly enough to rebuild the 600,000 square feet of educational space lost.

Residents will vote April 3 on the bond issue.
