St. Charles police say a woman used a note to rob First State Bank at 206 North Fifth Street this morning.

The robbery occurred at 9:28 a.m. Lt. Mike Akers said the woman fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. Police do not have a description of her car.

Akers said police are looking for a black woman with light skin, approximately 5-feet-6-inches tall and about 25 years old. She has a stocky build and long, black hair with blond or gold streaks. She had green fingernails that might have had a design on them.

The woman was wearing a red zip-up jacket and blue jean capri pants. She was carrying a black purse and wore black-and-white tennis shoes with red soles.
