ST. CHARLES - A 25-year-old man from St. Charles was killed late Sunday night in a motorcycle crash, police said.
A few minutes before midnight, Nick Chester II was heading north in the 1600 block of Zumbehl Road, police said. Chester drove between two vehicles also heading north and struck a curb near Hawks Nest Drive.
Police said the Harley-Davidson motorcycle was accelerating "at a high rate of speed" when Chester was thrown from the motorcycle and suffered a severe head injury.
Authorities said Chester was in cardiac arrest when paramedics took him to St. Joseph Health Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Chester was wearing a skull cap, authorities said.
