Interest groups and lobbyists spend hundreds of thousands of dollars providing meals, snacks and beverages to members of the General Assembly and other public officials. In 2010, the last full year for which reports are available, lobbyists spent more than $414,000 on food and drink. The Missouri Hospital Association spends the most -- with $112,000 in food purchases since 2008. (Note: These figures do not include meals purchased for individual lawmakers by lobbyists. Those are reported separately.)
