A new kind of adult entertainment will be opening in the St. Louis area on Friday.
The Wildwood 10 cinemas will feature the largest screen in town -- 56 feet wide -- and two of its screens will be for 21-and-over only. Similar to the Moolah Theater in Midtown, those screens will feature reclining leather chairs with foot rests and marble side tables to hold food and drink. Mixed drinks will be available in the theater and patrons can order hot food such as flat-bread pizzas from a nearby restaurant.
The art-deco multiplex is operated by B&B Theatres of Kansas City, making its first entry into St. Louis. This is the biggest and most technologically advanced of the B&B operations, with projectors that require no human operator, and Dolby 7.1 surround-sound technology, which includes speakers in the ceiling.
