Kaden was Danny and Joey Danuser's "Chunky Monkey."

He was their second son, and he arrived after a difficult pregnancy. His mom, Joey, considered his birth a miracle.

The Danusers said goodbye to their son in a hospital ER on June 8, 2010. Doctors asked them whether they could stop trying to restart Kaden's heart, and the parents agreed.

"I remember they told us to come and stand by his side as they worked on him," wrote Joey on a memorial website she keeps in Kaden's honor. "I remember touching his foot. ... He was wearing these blue socks. ... I loved these socks on him."

Kaden died of positional asphyxiation while napping in a car seat at his Lee's Summit day care.

The Danusers have watched holidays come and go and have had to explain to their older child that his brother now lives in heaven.

"I was meant to have two boys in my arms. God has now taken you and I'm mad," Joey wrote in a note to Kaden on the website.

"I can't tell you how many people that you have touched in the 2 months 2 weeks and the 5 days that you were here with us. You have a very special place in our hearts and always will. Monkey WE LOVE YOU!"
