July 9, 2009 (ST. LOUIS) - An SSM Health Care documentary on the legacy of the Franciscan Sisters of Mary, "Continue Courageously," has been selected to screen in competition at the St. Louis Filmmakers Showcase Tuesday, July 21 at the Tivoli Theatre in University City, Mo. The showing, which will mark the premiere of "Continue Courageously," is set for 5 p.m.
Since 1872, the ministry begun by Mother Odilia Berger has provided health care to countless Americans. Since, generations of Sisters have spent their lives caring for others. Today, only a handful of Franciscan Sisters of Mary, the sponsoring congregation of SSM Health Care, remain in SSM's hospitals. "Continue Courageously" tells the story of their life, their work and message to those that will follow in their footsteps.
