Jammin' at the Zoo

The Saint Louis Zoo's Young Zoo Friends invite you to their popular 21-and-up celebration, Jammin' at the Zoo. On Wednesdays, July 22 and August 26, from 6 to 10 p.m., enjoy great live music while sipping your way through 200 different wines from 50 wineries, as well as new beers and specialty products from Anheuser-Busch.

The Tasting Package includes a wine and beer tasting, available between 6 and 8 p.m., while supplies last. Wine by the glass and bottle, beer, soda and frozen specialty drinks will be available for purchase.

On July 22, enjoy live entertainment by Arvell & Co., DJ Greasy, Electric Soul, John Frischer, Tiny Cows and Urban Groove Project.

On August 26, All4Nothin, DJ Andrew Mullins, Jake's Leg, Kim Massie, Mario Pascal and DJ Needles, and My Own Medicine will perform.

Satiate your appetite with gourmet picnic dinners. Four menu choices are offered and served with a dessert and drink. Special wines will be recommended to complement each meal. Picnic dinners must be ordered in advance. Other food options will also be available at the event.

Buy your Jammin' tickets at the door, online at www.stlzoo.org, or by calling 314/646-4771. General admission is free for Zoo Friends members and one guest, and $10 per person for non-members. Tasting Package, including wine and beer tasting and general admission, is $10 for Zoo Friends and $20 for non-members. Become a member of the Young Zoo Friends that evening and receive free admission for two. Special private party areas are available in advance for groups of 25 or more.

General public should park on the south parking lot on Wells Drive and enter the Zoo through the south entrance near the Z-O-O pylon and Highway 40/64. Zoo Friends members should park on the Zoo's north parking lot and enter through The Living World. Parking is free on both lots.

The Young Zoo Friends are a group of professionals in their 20s and 30s who support the future success of the Zoo through volunteer, fundraising, educational and social opportunities.

Visit www.stlzoo.org/yzf or call 314/646-4771 for more information, to purchase your tickets in advance or to place orders for picnic dinners.

Proceeds from the party benefit the Zoo and its efforts to save endangered species at home and around the world. Jammin' at the Zoo is sponsored by Anheuser-Busch, Inc., with media support provided by Riverfront Times, Y98 FM and metromix.com.
