An International fine art exhibit by 137 artists in 10 countries

How do artists from around the world see the world around them? A free international art show opening August 1 at DailyPainters.com will showcase our planet and its people in painted images.

Local artist Kay Crain, of Defiance, MO, is among the 137 juried members of the DailyPainters.com gallery who will present picturesque people, places, animals and other subjects from around the world. Ms. Crain will be contributing a number of scenes from around the St. Louis area.

Other DailyPainters.com members, hailing from the United States and nine other countries, will post hundreds more. "All of creation is potential subject matter during the show", according to gallery owner Micah Condon. "We'll see quite a variety of subjects in this Tribute exhibit. We have artists who skillfully paint their beautiful regions so I know we'll have lots of unique scenes from around the globe, including landscapes and cityscapes from Europe, the U.S., and elsewhere. Surprises may be in store for viewers too."

The members of DailyPainters.com represent a growing trend in the art world. These artists strive to produce one small painting nearly every day, posting them for viewing and sale at the online gallery. Site visitors can enjoy the "still wet" paintings on the site, or subscribe to the free daily email updates to get the most recent art in their inbox every morning. Viewers can also communicate directly with the painters to learn the stories and inspiration behind each. Or browse by artist, search by category, or follow links to the artists' web sites and blogs. Because the paintings are sold directly by the artists, prices are very affordable.

"Tribute to a Beautiful Earth" will run throughout August to celebrate the beauty of the world and taking care of it. The show will open on August 1 with over one hundred original paintings; dozens more will be added each day throughout the month.

DailyPainters.com was founded in 2006 by artist Micah Condon and has since grown to include almost 140 artists from Canada, Chile, Denmark, France, Germany, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, United Kingdom, and the United States.
