ERIC GREITENS TO PRESENT STRENGTH & COMPASSION

 

AT CREPES IN THE CITY

 

  

 

ST. LOUIS, Sept. 3, 2009 - Eric Greitens, Navy SEAL, humanitarian, non-profit innovator and author of "Strength & Compassion", will present his first book at Crepes in the City on Sept. 19.

 

            The event, which starts at 4 p.m., will include a presentation of "Strength & Compassion", as well as a discussion and meet and greet with the author.  Music from countries featured in the book will also run both before and after the presentation.  The event is free and open to the public.  In addition, Crepes in the City and Dr. Greitens would like to specially invite people from locations featured in the book to come and join in the discussion.

 

 

            "Strength & Compassion" (Leading Authorities Press, 2008) combines engaging and award-winning humanitarian photographs from Rwanda, Cambodia, Albania, Mexico, India, the Gaza Strip, Croatia and Bolivia, with bold, intelligent essays on strength, pity, dignity, courage, faith, time, hope and compassion.

 

            The book has received numerous awards, including ForeWord Magazine's Book of the Year Award and the Grand Prize at the New York Book Festival.

 

            Crepes in the City (500 N. 14th St., St. Louis) is a crêperie that serves entrée crepes loaded with gourmet ingredients.  Apart from serving crepes, it also has a full breakfast menu and coffee bar, as well as soups, salads, sandwiches, and smoothies.
