ALTON SQUARE MALL TO BEGIN MAJOR

FLOOR CONSTRUCTION

Alton Square begins new floor construction Monday, June 23

Alton, Illinois............... Alton Square Mall and Coyote Management, L.P. will begin the process of putting in new flooring on the lower and upper level of the mall beginning Monday, June 23 after the mall closes. The work will begin on the lower level, at the east entrance near the US Post Office. The work will include tearing out the existing 30 year old floor and replacing it with sand colored field tile with a chocolate brown border and glossy black accents. In addition, there will be carpet placed in JCPenney court, Macy's court and in strategic locations throughout the lower level.  The demolition work and tile placed directly in front of the stores will be done at night. Tile and carpet will be installed throughout the middle of the mall during the day. The mall's goal is to not disrupt our merchants or shoppers during regular business hours.  The entire second level will be updated with two-shades of warm earth tone carpet. This work will begin in early August.

Alton Square Mall, opened in 1978, is a two-story, 634,181 square foot enclosed regional mall located in Alton, IL.  Three traditional department stores, Macy's, Sears and JCPenney, anchor Alton Square Mall, which also includes over 60 specialty shops and restaurants.
