St. Louis, MO - The economy has sent buyers into hiding, and local businesses are being forced to look at new ways to get back in front of them. An upcoming seminar titled "Look at Me!" hopes to make that happen by bringing Internet Marketing experts and business executives together for a one-day workshop in Chesterfield.
The event, sponsored by Market St Louis (MarketStL.com), focuses entirely on helping business owners in the Saint Louis area make their websites more search-engine friendly. The "friendlier" their websites are, the better they rank in the major search engines like Google - which leads to more customers.
"We have some great industry leaders coming to speak," comments Will Hanke, the face behind MarketStL. "There are a lot of search-related seminars in the US, but none of them come to Saint Louis. Our businesses deserve to be at the top of Google, too. We'll show our attendees how to get there."
Topics at the event range from creating that search engine-friendly website to creating great content and how to analyze your website visitors' patterns and habits.
Speakers include Carolyn Shelby, a popular blogger and co-host of SEO101, a weekly podcast that teaches businesses how to employ SEO techniques for their website, David Ogletree, a search engine and pay-per-click specialist from Austin, Texas, and Scott Allender, a local Saint Louis guy who knows a lot about social media.
