AT&T UNVEILS NEW WIRELESS STORE IN ST. PETERS
New Store Offers a New, More Hands-On Way to Experience and Shop
for Communications and Entertainment Services
ST. PETERS, Mo., September 23, 2009 - AT&T* today announced the grand opening of a retail store in St. Peters. The store, which is more than 3,220 square feet, is located at 6291 Mid Rivers Mall Drive. The store is designed to provide consumer and small business customers with a more interactive and informative hands-on experience when shopping for wireless, broadband, video and entertainment services.
The store features an intuitive organization of products and services. In addition, all wireless devices are showcased on power-enabled displays that will make it easy for customers to experience interactive applications, like social networking and personal navigation or to compare and contrast features like touch screens versus full Qwerty keyboards.
"We are focused on making our customers' in-store experience exceptional, and that begins with a convenient store location, simplistic layout and knowledgeable staff," said Nancy Garvey, vice president and general manager, AT&T Mobility and Consumer Markets in the Greater Midwest. "Customers also will be able to shop for all AT&T services, including home services like AT&T High Speed Internet and AT&T Advanced TV products."
One of the new store features is the Guided Selling Kiosk. The kiosk includes a rate plan recommendation tool that customers can use independently or with the assistance of an AT&T representative. The tool walks customers through a few simple questions and, based on their responses, will highlight the most appropriate rate plan. In addition to
wireless phone plans, the kiosk also provides information on GoPhone®, wireless data access for laptops and smartphone data plans. New device filters allow customers to sort and compare devices and select the best device to fit their needs.
In addition to the new store, AT&T is also investing in the local network. AT&T recently added a new cell site in the St. Charles area, which will improve voice and data services along Interstate 370 and the surrounding commercial and residential areas.
State Senator Tom Dempsey called the expanded AT&T store a welcome addition to the community. "Missouri benefits from policies that encourage investment and customer choice in the marketplace," said state Sen. Dempsey. "AT&T's investment in opening a new wireless store builds our reputation as a strong state for business and encourages our existing base to expand their operations here."
The store offers a comprehensive portfolio of advanced wireless products and services, all of which customers can experience throughout the store. These include:
- AT&T @ Home. Customers can browse the Internet and customize homepage portals. Additionally, customers can see demonstrations of AT&T Advanced TV on two 52" High Definition plasma televisions.
