Major paper distributor expands with new retail floor plan that includes specialty papers and “more”
St. Louis, MO – November 4, 2009 – Shaughnessy, a leading national paper distributor, today announced plans to open a new version of its retail paper store, Paper & More, in the Sunset Hills area. The new floor plan will provide the same level of service and inventory that current customers, such as small printers and businesses, have come to expect from the existing Paper & More stores in Fenton and the Westport area. But the offering at the new store will expand to include one-of-a-kind specialty papers for designers and consumers seeking unique papers for personal or professional use. The new store will open in early December and is located at 3802 South Lindbergh. It will replace the current Fenton location.

The new Paper & More store is being designed to provide a warm, inviting atmosphere for consumers, designers, event planners, and anyone else interested in specialty papers to stop in, browse, and visit the ‘Inspiration Station’ idea center. There, they will find sample projects using specialty paper selections that will allow them to produce a unique project, such as party or wedding invitations, announcements, mail pieces, proposals, and more. Local and regional artists and paper suppliers will be featured on a regular basis, further providing inspiration and possibilities for customers and giving them an excuse to stop by often to discover what is new.
Earth-friendly paper selections will be highlighted throughout the store, easily identified by “Green Scene” tags and signage, to provide customers with environmentally-friendly choices. These selections are an extension of Shaughnessy’s Green Initiative, a commitment to offer customers the choice of a variety of recycled papers, FSC certified papers (Forest Stewardship Council), and papers made with alternative energy and alternative fibers. “These ‘green’ papers reflect an extension of Shaughnessy’s environmentally-conscientious practice of offsetting 100 percent of the power we consume with Green-e credits from renewable energy sources as well as offsetting 100 percent of the carbon emissions of our delivery fleet,” reported Kniep.
