About Family Resource Center

Family Resource Center (FRC), an independent, non-profit 501(c)(3) agency, provides supportive care to nearly 10,000 children and parents in the St. Louis area each year.  Their programs help kids heal from the trauma of abuse and neglect, and strengthen families through family-centered therapeutic, educational, support and advocacy services.

FRC's mission is the treatment and prevention of child abuse and neglect. This occurs by empowering families to grow strong and stop the cycle of abuse, and by guiding parents toward becoming confident and nurturing caregivers. Comfort and security is provided to facilitate children's recovery from abuse and neglect, and when necessary, help place them in safe and welcoming foster homes or adoptive families. In addition, teens are mentored as they face the adult responsibilities of pregnancy and finding jobs.

FRC employs a comprehensive continuum of programs and services in our mission to help children recover from trauma, while also alleviating the many factors that can trigger abuse, and empowering families to stop or prevent the cycle of abuse. Every child deserves to have a home where they feel safe and loved.
