Lake Saint Louis Veterans Park Ceremonies Set for May 17

Lake Saint Louis, Mo. - Dedication ceremonies for the new Civic Center Veterans Memorial Park have been set for Saturday, May 17. The park is located on a four-acre site on the grounds of the Civic Center (City Hall/Police Department).

Dedication was originally was scheduled for Veterans Day weekend last fall. The city and a volunteer committee of veterans decided to delay the opening until construction was completed.  The delay will give more people the opportunity to participate in the initial order of commemorative bricks.

The volunteer committee is accepting orders for the bricks. Each brick is $100 and will include three lines of engraving. Order forms are available at City Hall or online at www.lakesaintlouis.com, select link for Parks and Recreation Department, then link for Veterans bricks.

Also, the city is accepting donations for other furnishings and landscaping for the park. Call 636-625-1200.
