Trash Collection Changes for Five Subdivisions in O'Fallon, Mo.

O'Fallon, Mo. - The city of O'Fallon is getting the word out that the trash collection schedule for five subdivisions will change. Beginning the week of Feb. 18:

Brook Hollow residents will have their trash picked up on Mondays instead of Fridays.

Residents of Annabrook, Feise Forest, Indian Springs and Pheasant Point will have their trash collected on Thursdays instead of Fridays.

Recycling collection will remain the same.

To alert residents to the new schedule, which affects about 650 households, signs will be posted at subdivision entrances, flyers will be distributed and postcards will be mailed to each address. The change will make it easier for drivers to finish their routes, which have expanded due to the City's growth.

"Right now, Fridays are just too big to handle," said Jim Wenzara, O'Fallon's Director of Environmental Services.

O'Fallon's trash collection will not be affected by President's Day, which is Monday, Feb . 18. O'Fallon City Hall will be closed, but trash and recycling collection will continue as usual Monday through Friday.
