Two St. Louis-area residents have been named to Oklahoma Baptist University's academic honor roll for the spring 2009 semester.
Ellisville, Mo., resident Erica Christine Dumey, a senior Spanish education major, has been named to the President's Honor Roll.
Florissant, Mo., resident Amanda Jane Layman, a junior mathematics secondary education major, also has been named to the President's Honor Roll.
Students who achieved a semester grade point average of 3.7 or higher on a 4.0 scale are named to the President's Honor Roll. Those who achieved a grade point average between 3.4 and 3.69 are listed on the Dean's Honor Roll.
Located in Shawnee, Okla., OBU offers 10 bachelor's degrees with 83 fields of study. The Christian liberal arts university has an overall enrollment of 1,753, with students from 39 states and 20 other countries. OBU has been rated as one of the top 10 comprehensive colleges in the West by U.S. News and World Report for 17 consecutive years and has been Oklahoma's highest rated comprehensive college in the U.S. News rankings for 15 consecutive years.
