Over 15,000 Girl Scouts to attend "Shades of Green"

A visit by CBS Early Show staff correspondent, former host of Show Me St. Louis, and Miss America 1990, Dr. Debbye Turner; performances by national music group Girl Authority and by Metro Theater Company, are just a few of the activities taking place at the Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri's "Shades of Green," on Saturday, Dec. 1, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at America's Center, downtown St. Louis.

The expo-type event, themed "Be Strong, Be Healthy, Be You," unites girls ages 5-17 from across eastern Missouri for a day of fun including...

  • A visit with Miss Missouri Lindsay Casmaer, with discussion about her cyber-bullying experience and how to be safe on the Internet
  • A presentation by the St. Louis Rams Cheerleaders about their professional careers on and off the field
  • A visit and autographs with past players of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League

...plus more than 100 exhibitor booths and activities!
