About Neighborhood Houses
For nearly a century, Neighborhood Houses has been a source of support for low-income children and families of the inner core of St. Louis City. Our mission is to strengthen children, families, and communities through neighborhood-centered, character-building, life-changing programs that help create hope, health, and independence. All services aim to improve quality of life and help children and youth build the skills and confidence they need to reach their full potential. To further our mission, we provide early childhood care and education, after-school and summer programming for school-age youth, parent education programs serving young fathers and mothers, and comprehensive emergency services designed to meet the basic needs of families.
