The Metropolitan Volunteer Management Association (MVMA) is a professional organization that promotes and enhances the field of volunteer administration for its members in the St. Louis Metropolitan area and throughout the states of Missouri and Illinois.  MVMA (formerly CVD) has been providing educational and networking opportunities for coordinators and managers of volunteer programs since 1962.

Dr. Sue Ekberg (http://www.careerfocusstl.com) will be speaking on the Importance of Networking. The event will be held at the Kirkwood Train Station, Kirkwood, Missouri, Thursday, November 5, 2009 from 9:00-11:00 am.  The event is free and open to anyone interested in the field of Volunteer Management.  Attendees will receive a special gift for becoming a MVMA member that day.

The date of the event was planned to coincide with International Volunteer Manager’s Day celebrated on November 5 http://volunteermanagersday.org  and held in the volunteer-run Kirkwood Train Station.
