ATRIUM HEALTH SERVICES is pleased to welcome Dr. Stéphane Provencher

StéphaneStéphane Provencher, B.S., D.C. was born in Quebec, Canada and received his B.S. Degree in Medical Biology from the University of Quebec at Trois-Rivières.  Dr. Provencher went on to attend Logan College of Chiropractic, where he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree with honors in 2007.  He is fluent in French and English.

 

While at Logan College, Dr. Provencher's numerous honors included the Dean's List, the Health Center Achievement Award, the Clinical Assistant Award and Who's Who among students in American Universities and Colleges.  He has studied extensively at the postgraduate level at Logan College, earning Whiplash Certification, Craniopathy Certification, Pediatric Certification and Kinesiotaping Certification. 

 

Dr. Provencher is certified in Sacro Occipital Technique (SOT) as well as Logan Basic Technique, Gonstead Technique and Diversified Technique, among others.  He has a strong expertise in functional rehabilitation. 

 

Dr. Provencher is an avid researcher, having completed more than 11 senior research projects at Logan College, including research on Sacro Occipital Technique (SOT), which he currently uses in his practice.  He has submitted three articles for publication in scientific journals.  In collaboration with Dr. Joseph F. Unger, Jr., he is currently developing information on ADHD and Autism for use by chiropractors and their patients wishing to learn more about the disease and the multiple treatment modalities available through chiropractic and related natural therapies.

 

We are pleased to welcome Dr. Provencher to Atrium Health Services, where he joins an elite team of practitioners sharing over 70 years of collective experience.  All specialize in Sacro Occipital Technique (SOT) as researched and developed by M. B. DeJarnette, D.C. and are members of Sacro Occipital Research Society International, Inc. (SORSI), which Dr. DeJarnette founded in 1957 to further his teachings.  While the doctors at Atrium practice the same fundamental techniques, each has his or her specialized areas of interest and expertise.  As a team, they are able to offer a more complete and individualized approach to your health care needs.
