Program Rewards Employers for Creating Workplaces
That Foster Employee Health and Well-being While Enhancing Organizational Performance
(Springfield, May 14, 2008) - FundRaiser Software will receive a Psychologically Healthy Workplace Award from the Missouri Psychological Association.
"In this time of high job stress and increasing demands on employees, this exemplary workplace has made it a priority to create an environment that is sensitive to the health and well-being of its workers," says Mark Skrade, President of the Missouri Psychological Association. "By rewarding this organization for its efforts, we hope others will take notice and implement similar programs in their workplaces."
The Psychologically Healthy Workplace Award was created to recognize organizations that understand the link between employee health and well-being and organizational performance and have implemented a variety of workplace practices in an active effort to create a positive work environment.
Each applicant is judged on criteria including: employee involvement; health and safety; employee growth and development; work-life balance; and employee recognition.
FundRaiser Software will be recognized for the quality of communication and employee involvement in decision making at the company. In addition, FundRaiser actively supports work-life balance providing options for flex-time and an on-site childcare resource when school is not in session. The company supports employee growth and development through opportunities for training and promotion. In addition, employees and management are respectful of one another and seem to genuinely care for and support each other in and outside of the workplace.
According to a 2004 poll by the American Psychological Association, two-thirds of both men and women say work has a significant impact on their stress level, and one in four has missed work because of stress.
The award will be presented on June 14, 2008 at 12:30pm at The Lodge of Four Seasons, 315 Four Seasons Dr., Lake Ozark, MO 65049.
