Cincinnati second baseman Brandon Phillips is back in the lineup after missing a few days with a hand injury. His timing couldn't be better, at least as far as Cardinals fans are concerned. They will get a chance to acknowledge Phillips and his comments about their favorites, which he made earlier this month.

Reds skipper Dusty Baker expects the greeting will be somewhat less than cordial.

"Probably won't be good," Baker said. "None of us probably will get a good reception. But that's how it is when you have (an incident) like we had, and they're on the road,  and then you come to their home town for the first time. We expect it to be that way."

Baker added the umpiring crew had not spoken to him about any extra-curricular activity. "They didn't talk to us before the game after, so I don't expect they will talk to us tonight. But we're just here to play ball, that's all."
