Scouting report: Despite a woeful record, the Brewers still boast one of the best lineups, led this season by second baseman Rickie Weeks, who has 23 homers and 72 RBIs, mostly from the leadoff spot. Milwaukee could finish with five batters who have more than 20 homers. Weeks, Prince Fielder (25) and Corey Hart (23) are already there; Ryan Braun (16) and Casey McGehee (18) are closing in. ... Weeks has four homers and a .632 slugging percentage against the Cardinals this season. ... Milwaukee leads the league with 78 runs and 147 hits this month. ... Several Brewers, including former Cardinal Chris Narveson and newest Brewer Chris Dickerson, attended Albert Pujols' charity golf outing on Monday's off day. ... Veteran Trevor Hoffman has one save since May 8, and he's currently three shy of 600 in his career. Hoffman has taken the loss in two of his previous three appearances. ...
