COLUMBIA, Mo. • Missouri’s Oct. 5 Southeastern Conference opener at Vanderbilt will kick off at 6:30 p.m. and will air on Comcast Sports South, a station that’s not widely available in the state of Missouri.

Saturday’s Missouri home game against Arkansas State is also being televised on CSS, but seven in-state affiliates will also broadcast the game. In St. Louis, KPLR (Channel 11) will televise the 6:30 p.m. game against the Red Wolves (2-2).

Six other affiliates will televise the MU-ASU game in Missouri markets: Cape Girardeau (KBSI), Columbia (KMIZ), Joplin (KSN16), Kansas City (KSMO), Springfield (KOZL) and St. Joseph (KNPN).

The game will air on CSS in the SEC footprint and will also be available through ESPN GamePlan, ESPN3.com and the Watch ESPN app.

MU could make similar in-state affiliate arrangements for the Vanderbilt game.

Also on the TV schedule in the SEC for Oct. 5, Georgia State will play at Alabama at 11:21 a.m. on SEC TV affiliates and Kentucky plays at South Carolina at 6:30 p.m. on FSN. CBS has elected to use a six-day selection for its 2:30 p.m. game for Oct. 5. The network will hold for consideration three games: Arkansas at Florida, Ole Miss at Auburn and Georgia at Tennessee. The games not selected by CBS will be televised at6 p.m. on ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU, along with the LSU at Mississippi State game. CBS should make its selection no later than Sunday afternoon.
